The much-anticipated drama serial Sang e Mah is giving treats after treats to TV viewers in Pakistan. It was a delight to see teasers of a star-studded cast in a story-driven drama serial that talks about unaddressed cultural practices. Then, it was equally refreshing to see Atif Aslam giving a convincing performance in his TV debut, urging us to look forward to the drama. But finally, the OST by Atif has also built on anticipation.

The OST takes you into the magical world of Sang e Mah which has a transcendent tale of love and retribution. Undoubtedly, Atif has left a mark with a sneak peek of his character — Hilmand — in the drama, and his soul-stirring voice has just added more charisma to Hilmand. Everyone will look forward to watching his love story with Kubra’s character.

The song is composed by Sahir Ali Bagga and written by Fatima Najeeb. Atif has done full justice to the heart-piercing and meaningful lyrics as well as the melodious composition. His voice delivers the longing, pain, and unfulfilled desires of his character. The same goes for other characters in the story that have their own fights, emotional journeys, and tragedies. All of them are yearning for something or someone, and searching for a Sang e Mah [moonstone] which is famously known for new beginnings.

The video of the song shows many love stories and how they eventually turn sour. The drama revolves around love, loss, and revenge with an intense performance that will surely hook the audience. The cast of the drama includes the father-son duo Naumaan Ijaz and Zaviyar, Atif Aslam, Hania Aamir, Kubra Khan, Omair Rana, Sania Saeed, Samiya Mumtaz, Najiba Faiz, Hasan Noman amongst many others.

Written by Mustafa Afridi, directed by Saif Hasan, and produced by Momina Duraid, Sang e Mah will air on Sunday, 9th January on Hum TV. The first episode is also screened in cinemas from today for those who would like to watch it on the big screen.
